Josh, your age surprises me. You write far beyond it. You decided to stop writing??? You only think you have! Your voice will find you again and you will write with a vengeance.
Believe me, I tried to stop a few times myself and came back writing better than ever.
I look forward to hearing you have returned, you are too talented to stop.
When I retire, soon,I hope...I am going to go for the gold. I will jump into writing 100% and make a career out of it. If you believe, it already happened, all you have to do is catch up with yesterday's dream...
My name is Bill Wasson, remember my name and contact me after you see my first book on the market. This is my belief, let's see if it really happens!
Again good luck...you really are that good and I say that to very few writers.

Faizaabi:
Thank you, yes it takes a melancholy turn about half way through. Also, It is fictionalized, I wrote it as a way of telling a story.

Sophie:
Thank you as well, I love hearing people appreciating my work.

Bill:
I'm sorry to hear about your wife. But am glad that you enjoyed my poem, you may never know how much I appreciate comments like yours, they really do keep the inspiration flowing. I, myself, am 25, that poem was written when I was 22 or 23. I've been writing since I was 14 or 15. As you might have noticed from some of my earlier poems (mostly the first few Heartquakes) I went from teen-angsty poems to more serious topics. About a year ago I decided to stop writing poetry all together, and since have only had a few attempts at returning. But comments like yours really make me want to pick up a pen and a piece of paper again. A million thanks to you, and I would love to read some of your work some day.

I started writing poetry when my wife died 36 years ago at the young age of 22.
Your poem,Love Birds is the poem I wish I had written.
It brought a tear to my eye.
I have read some of your other poems, I don'tknow your age, but you are a very talented poet. I love originality.
Thank you.
