Locked from the inside
Yellow headed golden bird
Yellow from hidden truth
The sky turns pale as a corpse
Heading to another blank setting
Quitting my quagmire at the end of my mine
Mysterious demons lower their headsInto flames…

So calm I wanna sleep
So calm I wanna cry
So calm I can’t believe
So calm I wanna die
Locked in this unkindness
Waiting on the clock
When I cry for mercy
I’m just another to mock
So clear I wanna reach
So clear I wanna take
So clear I can’t blink
So clear I wanna break
Locked in this unkindness
Swimming ’round the dock
When I cry for mercy
I’m just another to mock

Tank treads or just rolling thunder
It’s all the same to those who are six feet under
Wasted youth or perhaps neglected missionaires
As long as we produce your wars uselessly
Should I do so, I should belie my thoughts
If I say its purpose serves a greater need, maybe I won’t get caught

These shackles are getting too heavy
But my arms I still hold up
And I’ll be that thorn in your side
Until the day you give up
My last hope to get away from you
My last chance to be free
And I’d gladly chew through my wrists
To get these chains off of me
But freedom for me is a long lost dream
A dream that has now been drained
Because I have expected this reality
To you I’ll always be chained

There’s no room in hell
You’re soon to live your worst private fear
They’ll walk the streets
But the damned are already here
Kismet goes out the window
when the screaming turns into a susurration
They’re still looking to you
You’re king of the world’s largest damnation
You wheedled your way here
Now you’re a loud, obnoxious follower
Your desires turn to allergies
And the chaos climaxes to a plethora of disorder

Spring finally broke through, and what did you do?
Stayed inside because the rumors were true
Apocalypse arriving, with everyone denying
Kingdom has come with demons multiplying
Unlike those guys with agony in their eyes
You’re here because you saw through the lies
You’ll never leave because you were never deceived
You were the only one who saw the lie in believe
You couldn’t believe you saw all the believers fall
The only good Gods are dead Gods but God isn’t God at all
The arcane was this, something most have easily dismissed
Believing good is accepting evil and holding hands with its fist
Their eyes were frozen while yours were wide open
Picking the clues from the lies in the book they were sold in
When their future path crashed and became their past
Thats when you found out Jesus saves (the worst for last)

I have no idea what I can do
About the quivering of your lips
Or the fear inside of you
During our love’s apocalypse
We didn’t have the chance to grow old
When this world’s lost in its own greed
But the story was always told
With love being our only need
Its true, you know, my greatest wish
You were my last and greatest Valentine
My last promise to you is this
Somehow, through it all, my love for you cannot die

Cry if you will
You are in the dark
A dark so sharp that’ll tear you apart
And cry you will
Right out of your heart
Your heart departs back way before the start
Your God is gone
Now ain’t that a trip
A trip that rips right clean out of your grip
Is your God gone?
Heard it from your lips
Those lips that spit such blasphemous bullshit
Is your God dead
Or is it a fake
A fake to make your entire earth quake
Your God is dead
So now save some face
A face disgraced from your very own faith
